Faith plays a huge part in the life of most Penangites.
The tapestry of faiths is very evident in the celebration of
numerous festivals throughout the year .
The photograph was taken in King Street , George Town a
a few years ago , when Chinese New Year time coincided
with the celebration of Thaipusam .

The history of this area is fascinating , Chinese Temples in
what is now considered Little India .
Just up from King Street is Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling or
Harmony Street ,as it is better known.
I don't know anywhere else in the World where all major
faiths are represented in such a small geographical area.
